Add a Task Issue Connector to your DubBot Account

Connect Tasks to GitHub, GitLab, or Jira using a Task Issue Tracker Connector.

To enable an account to connect Tasks to issue tracking software, a DubBot admin user needs to add a Task Issue Tracker Connector in the Account Settings panel.

The following screenshot shows the Connectors option in the left navigation of the Settings panel. To create the ability for users to connect Tasks to issue tracking software, select the Create new connector button.

Note: this process only needs to be done once per account.

From the Connectors option, Select Create new connector button in the Connectors panel

The Create New Connector panel will have two field options, Name and Type.

Create new connector panel will have a text field for New Connector name and a dropdown to select the Type

The Name can simply be GitHub (or your choice) and will be used to display the Connector in the list of Connectors. The Type will need to be Task Issue Tracker.

Task Issue Tracker is toward the bottom of the list of Type options

You will then need to select the type of Enabled Issue Tracker connection that you want to create. Choices are GitHub, GitLab, and Jira.

Finally, select Create.

Under Enabled Issue Trackers, check the checkbox beside the name of the software you want to connect to Tasks.

The new Connector name should show within the Connectors list. This means that the Connector is available to your DubBot users.

To begin connecting Tasks with GitHub issues, users will now need to connect their GitHub account within DubBot. Users can follow the Help article Using the GitHub Connector for more information.
